The President of ABIFER (Brazilian Association of the Railroad Suppliers), Vicente Abate, is a metallurgical engineer graduated by Escola de Engenharia Mauá, post-graduated in metallurgy by the Escola Politécnica da Universidade de São Paulo. He owns a Marketing MBA degree by FVG-SP and Babson College in USA and PDE (Strategic Development Program) by Fundação Dom Cabral.
He is the corporate relations director of Greenbrier Maxion and Amsted Maxion.
He is director of:
SIMEFRE (Railroad Industry Union);
ANTP (National Association of Public Transport);
DEINFRA/FIESP (Infrastructure Department of the Federation of Industries in the State of São Paulo);
DECONCIC/FIESP (Construction Industry Department).
He is vice-president of:
ABIFA/SIFESP (Brazilian Foundry Association and Union);
ADTrem (Regional Trains Development Agency).
He is also counselor of:
CONSIC/FIESP (Superior Council of Construction Industry);
SAE Brasil (Society of Mobility Engineers – Brasil);
ABENDI (Brazilian Association of Non-Destructive Testing and Inspection);

He is the co-founder of the Campinas Chamber of Foreign Trade.
